Commercial Disaster Recovery (CDR) was contracted to provide pre-storm protection, emergency mitigation, and reconstruction services for a luxury waterfront condominium community in Clearwater Beach, Florida. Before Hurricanes Helene and Milton made landfall, CDR deployed crews to install board-up protection and strategically place sandbags to help reduce storm damage. Following each storm, the project expanded into a 14-month recovery effort that included mitigation, remediation, and reconstruction across the property’s twin 22-story towers. The scope included 235 owner units, common areas, fitness facilities, meeting rooms, elevator lobbies, hallway corridors, and garage-level storage areas.   

The scope of work included water mitigation, cleaning, temporary roof repairs, flooring replacement, temporary power, and rebuilding framing and drywall within the garage-level storage areas. Work was performed throughout both occupied towers, requiring close coordination with property management and individual unit owners to schedule access while minimizing disruption to residents.   Managing work across two 22-story residential towers required multiple crews to perform different phases of the project simultaneously. Through careful planning and coordination, CDR maintained progress across both buildings while adapting to owner schedules and access requirements. The project was completed over 14 months and turned over to the owner upon completion.
